Here at Kellys Drainage Contractors we are proud of our role in the following major infrastructural projects.

	Shell Bethlehem Project Builders: Mainzeal Construction WH Kelly are proud to have been involved with the drainage for the new Shell Service Station at Bethlehem Special feature: The installation of two large Stormwater retention tanks
	Golden Sands Primary School Project Builders: Marra Construction WH Kelly commenced work in February 2010 with two of our crews. Estimated completion date end 2010. This project involves sewer, stormwater drainage and water reticulation. Special features: The drains laid at this site are environmentally friendly PE pipe which requires electrofusion joining.
	Papamoa High School Project Builders: Hawkins Construction WH Kelly commenced work in February 2010 with two of our crews. Estimated completion date end 2010. This project involves sewer, stormwater drainage and water reticulation. Special features: Roof water recycling system - water stored in large tanks. Large stormwater overflow tunnel soakage system.
	Grace Hospital \| Tauranga Project Builders: Hawkins Construction A two year project. Installation of Civil carpark drainage and standard commercial drainage, installing 100 - 450mm dia concrete and PVC pipe. Large underground storm water tank installed to provide the hospital with a recycled stormwater system.
	Waihi Academy Project Builders: McMillian & Lockwood This is one of our largest current projects. One of our crews has travelled to Waihi most days for the past two years. Major civil drainage and residential drainage. Excavation through rock to dig our trenches.
	Port of Tauranga \| Sulphur Point Storm water Drainage – Sulphur Point – South end wharf W H Kelly Drainlayers have successfully completed several drainage projects now for the Port of Tauranga. Currently we are installing 300 metres of 450mm and 177 metres of 300mm rcrrj concrete stormwater drains and 150 metres of MDPE water pipe. An interesting component of this project is the installation of storm water manholes with sieves attached to the end of the storm water outlet and 450 dia shut off valves to prevent contaminants entering the harbour. We have met Port of Tauranga's high standards for trench compaction due to the high movement of traffic in this area.

	Tauranga City Council: Sharyn Pl Project Engineers: GHD Engineers Stormwater Upgrade: Open cut and directionally drilled 630mm dia PE pipe and 825mm dia RCRRJ reinforced concrete ring joint pipe. Construction of a 2m dia outlet chamber and gabion baskets. 2m dia outlet structure in an existing pond.
	TCC: Ohauiti Reservoir Stormwater Upgrade Project Builders: HEB Construction Installing 450mm dia concrete pipes. Civil drainage including a 2.3m outfall structure with surrounding Reno Mattresses.
	Orica Chemnet Carpark & Truck Wash \| Mt Maunganui As head contractors we managed the full contract using our reliable and experienced subcontractors. Earthworks and pavement construction. Drainage: installation of a 1200mm dia stormwater main, a chemical spill containment system with automatic shutoff valves and a triple chamber oil and grit interceptor trap at the Truck Wash. Water reticulation including RPZ (Reduced Pressure Zone) backflow preventer installation.
Historic Drainage Jobs We are proud to be associated with many landmarks around Tauranga City and Rotorua: Bethlehem Shopping Centre Public civil and building drainage including an onsite stormwater disposal system. Fashion Island in Papamoa \| St Pius Church in Katikati Te Puia Whakarewarewa Vistors Centre \| Rotorua Installation of 375mm dia Stormboss pipe drainage. Due to geothermal activity staff were required to airtest all the new concrete drains installed. Prior to installing the drains, we were required to clear a track through the scrub meaning our staff had to adhere to all confined spaces requirements. back to the top
